December temps wanted!

In anticipation of an increased number of bookings in December, we are looking to employ one or more temporary Booth Hosts to work at weddings, Christmas and New Year parties throughout the month.

The successful temps will travel to events either on their own or as part of a team. You’ll assemble the booth, set it up to ensure we’re delivering the best quality photos and be a perfect host to the party goers. At the end of the evening you’ll take it all back down and ensure everything’s kept tip top for the next event.

To be successful, you’ll need to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Speak fluent English
  • Comfortable working with technology
  • Physically fit
  • Smartly presented
  • Able to work weekends and evenings
  • Live in, or around, Peterborough

While you don’t need to be a superhero, you do need to be relatively fit, as the assembly process involves an element of lifting and stretching. Most of our work is in Peterborough but, owing to the late finishes, remote location of some venues and the occasional need to transport equipment, there will be more shifts available for drivers with use of their own car, although we may have some roles for non-drivers from time to time.

As almost all of our work is in the evening or at weekends, you’ll need to be able to work these shifts. We’ll provide you with on the job training and would expect you to work at a few events in November to get up to speed. Hosts normally work in pairs so don’t worry if you don’t have experience, we’ll give you all the training and support that you need to deliver an outstanding experience to our customers. Occasionally you will be required to work on your own on a job, but that will only happen once we’re happy that you are fully up to speed.

A typical event is between five to nine hours, including travel, set up and hosting. Our starting rate is £10 per hour, plus expenses and a mileage rate for staff using their own vehicles. We’ll also provide you with a uniform to be worn while representing the company.

These attendant positions are initially only for the month of December, and we would expect to be able to provide between 10-15 shifts during the month, to be discussed before starting. We would also expect that there will be a possibility to rejoin us in 2017, ahead of the prom and wedding season, but this is neither guaranteed nor a prerequisite for this position.
