Think photo booth and you probably think about parties and wedding receptions.
But the photo booth can also be a fantastic way to engage with customers and capture data at trade shows and exhibitions.
Photo opportunities are increasingly popular at expos and public events, and can draw customers to your stand. Photos are all about memories, and there’s nothing better for capturing memories than a good old fashioned photograph.
In return for the customer providing their data (usually an email address will suffice) they get a free photograph (either printed or sent to them digitally) which gives them a branded and permanent memento of their interaction with your brand.
I’ve done a lot of work in the motorcycle industry in the past and it’s a sector where the photo booth works really well. Give your guests an opportunity to have their photo taken with an exclusive race bike you sponsor, with some glamorous pit girls or next to your headline new product, its a win-win situation. It’s also a great way to draw people to your stand if you have a less tangible product or service, giving them a reason to visit you when they would otherwise walk on by. It’s very sharable on social media too!
Simple set-ups are surprisingly cost effective and can usually be run by your own staff. Alternatively, companies like Red Event Photography can also supply fully trained staff to not only run the photo booth but also to act as brand ambassadors. It’s a hassle-free way to really boost your presence at events. Usually we would recommend that the experience is fully branded in your company image, with our team wearing your company uniforms and being trained to answer the most common questions at the show.
It’s not just motorcycling that can benefit from a photo marketing activity. Virtually any company involved with a sponsorship can get brilliant results from a photo op (who wouldn’t want to be photographed with the FA Cup, for example) and its a brilliant way to launch any new product or create a hashtag buzz.
At Red Event Photography we have plenty of mainstream marketing experience, as well as knowing our photo booths. If getting a photo booth at an upcoming trade show or launch event is something that you’re interested in, please feel free to get in touch for a no obligation chat.
