At Red Casino Events, it’s the people who make our business. And as we ramp up after some quiet years enforced by Covid, we’re on the lookout for some casual event assistants and freelance casino dealers.
As an Event Assistant, you’ll be part of the team setting up the event and ensuring the smooth running throughout.
No two events are the same. We work at venues throughout the country, on a wide variety of parties, which keeps things interesting.
On a casino night, after helping to set up the equipment, you’ll get dressed into your finery and play your part in ensuring the guests have a great time – and that the client gets the experience they pay for.
Roles for newbies can include mingling with guests, handing out play tokens, helping the croupiers by shuffling cards and ‘chipping up’, taking photos for social media and carrying out those little tasks that keep the event running seamlessly. At the end of the night you’ll help back up, discretely derig and load the van, happy that your guests have had a great time.
We’ll also train you to manage photo booths, look after guest books and to deal the casino games. As a Fun Casino Assistant we’d expect you to be able to run our Wheel of Fortune game (aka the Super Money Wheel) and give you a chance to learn blackjack, roulette and poker. Over time you will be able to deal all our games, and eventually even take the lead by managing events yourself.
While our events roles are not full-time, they can pay well and offer long hours at peak times for hard workers, with a typical three hour booking taking around 10 hours from start to finish. The key attributes we look for in our events team are:
- Reliable (we have to deliver for our clients)
- Hardworking (no one really likes lugging casino equipment around after midnight, but many hands make light work…)
- Presentable (we work at parties and you’ll be expected to dress and groom yourself accordingly, usually in our uniform)
- Outgoing (you’ll be an ambassador for us and our clients and will interact with guests)
Our roles are mainly on a casual basis, with most shifts on Friday and Saturday evenings. We pay well and are flexible in fitting around your other commitments. We’re based in Peterborough, with events starting and ending in PE1.
We are also looking to expand our freelancer croupier team. If you’re an experienced dealer who is proficient in dealing blackjack and roulette (other games are also valued) we’d love to hear from you. We’ve got great equipment and pride ourselves in paying well and looking after our team.
