What is a fun casino?
A fun casino, or a mobile casino, takes the kind of games you’d find in a real life casino (such as blackjack, roulette and poker) and brings them to your party. The fun casino provides the tables, croupiers and other equipment, and games are played in the same way as in a real casino – the difference being that no real money is staked. A fun casino is purely for entertainment purposes.
How long does a fun casino event last?
That varies from party to party. Typically we recommend booking the casino tables for two-and-a-half to four hours, however we have done shorter and longer events over the years.
We are happy to work with the client to best understand their requirements and to offer advice on how a fun casino can best be incorporated into their event, taking into account factors like number of guests, budget and other entertainment.
How long does it take to set the fun casino up?
Again this is variable and depends on a number of factors, including number of tables, access to venue (stairs, parking etc.) and any other props or theming booked. At a simple venue, each table can be usually be installed and running within 15 minutes, but this is something we can discuss during the initial client consultation.
Do you provide props?
We have a small selection of props and lighting available for hire with your fun casino tables and we are able to arrange for larger and more elaborate props, or a complete set designed by stage prop designers. Please contact us for a full, free, no obligation consultation.
Will your staff have a specific dress code?
This is something we discuss during the consultation. We have a standard uniform of white shirt and red bowtie, with options for more casual and formal dress depending on your event. We can also work with you to develop a uniform especially for your individual event.
Can I specify male or female croupiers?
No. While we will work with you to ensure all details of your booking are exactly as you wish, we cannot guarantee which of our staff will be allocated to your event.
What does it cost to book a fun casino for my party?
There are many variables when it comes to the cost of hiring our fun casino, not least the number of tables you require and how long you want to book them for. We publish a price list online to give you an indication, however these are for guidance only as the final cost may be subject to additional charges. Do I need a licence to host a fun casino event?
No. As a fun casino does not involve playing for real money, you do not need a licence.
Can children take part in a fun casino night?
That’s up to you, the party host, but as far as we are concerned – absolutely! Without the gambling element casino games are just games, which people of all ages can take part in. That said, we understand if some parents don’t want their children to participate and we will work with the event organiser beforehand to discuss these matters.
I don’t know how to play, can you teach me?
Absolutely. One of the great things about a fun casino is that it gives people an opportunity to learn without risking losing money. Our staff are always happy to explain the games and if there are a lot of novices we can arrange a special ‘beginners table’ or a session before the main event to specifically teach players.
Where about are you based?
Our offices are in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, but as we are a mobile casino company we work at events all around the country.
Do you work nationally?
Yes, we are able to provide a mobile casino service throughout the United Kingdom, however we typically work within a 100 mile radius of our base in Peterborough. That takes us as far north as Leeds, covers all of London and includes places like Oxford, Swindon, Norwich and Hull in-between. Outside of this radius you may find our travel surcharges make us a little more expensive than our competitors, but we’re always happy to travel and will give you an honest and transparent quote for any job.
